Atelier Circulaire announces its participation in the international exchange project Me to You, You to Me - Our Encounter Through Printmaking.
November 12, 2024, Montréal — Atelier Circulaire is pleased to announce its participation in Me to You, You to Me - Our Encounter Through Printmaking, a collaborative project that will bring together 12 artists, members of Atelier Circulaire, and 12 South Korean artists from the Korean Contemporary Printmakers Association.
Curated by South Korean artist Se-Eun An, this exhibition aims to promote cultural and artistic exchange between Quebec and South Korea through the medium of printmaking.
The first part of the exhibition will be presented at Space Sophora in Seoul, from November 28 to December 15, 2024, where part of the Quebec cohort will travel to represent Atelier Circulaire. Artists Kathryn Delaney, Dominique Desbiens, Tucker Frederick Kapp and François Vincent have been invited to make the trip, accompanied by Atelier Circulaire's co-director general and curator Se-Eun An. The artists will take part in a variety of events after the exhibition opens, including an artists' discussion on the theme of the future of contemporary printmaking, allowing Korean audiences to discover Quebecois perspectives on print practice.
In March 2025, the second part of the exhibition will happen in Montreal, at the Atelier Circulaire Gallery, from March 13 to April 5, 2025, where South Korean artists will be present to represent the Korean Contemporary Printmakers Association. This event will enrich exchanges between artists from both cultures, offering new perspectives in printed arts through several upcoming activities.
