Xavier Charbonneau Gravel devotes his artistic practice to the printed arts, intaglio, mainly in the technique of the mezzotint.

His works have been exhibited in Quebec, Japan and Denmark. They are part of the collections of Tama art university in Tokyo and the national archives of Quebec. A "Coup de Coeur" was awarded to him by the selection committee for his work "L'homme éléphant".

He became a member of Atelier Circulaire after completing a one-year artist residency in 2015. He is also a member of the Fyns Grafiske Værksted workshop in Denmark, where he had a one-month residency in 2019. He will give an internship in his favorite technique, the mezzotint, in the summer 2020.

A graduate in scenography from the National Theater School of Canada, he has worked for major shows in Quebec and abroad.
