Atelier Circulaire is organizing a virtual meeting on eco-responsible processes in printmaking. On this occasion, Elmyna Bouchard will present her recent research on the use of alternative engraving techniques that are more respectful to the environment.
This presentation will take the opportunity to show two different line engraving techniques. Through the short demonstration and product comparison, we will be able to explore some of the advantages and disadvantages of the alternative processes.
The event will open a Q & A period to the audience: why is it important to explore this type of technique?; how is it possible to continue the printed art practice at home with limited equipment during the pandemic?; what are the challenges of these alternative practices in a collective workshop?; can they coexist with conventional techniques?
Conversation in French. Free virtual event on zoom. Registration is mandatory.
