Gloria Palacio, a Colombian-born visual artist, has lived and worked in Montreal since 2002. Specializing in painting and printmaking, she holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from Panthéon-Sorbonne I University and studied at the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
Since 1983, she has exhibited internationally, participating in numerous biennials and triennials. In 1989, she won the engraving prize at the Summer Salon in Saint-Flour, France.
Her work is featured in institutional collections across Canada, Colombia, Romania, Italy, Spain, Russia, Bulgaria, and the U.S., as well as in private collections worldwide.
In 2017, she represented Colombia at the “Art of the Americas” exhibition in Ottawa, celebrating Canada’s 150th anniversary. She is an active member of Atelier Circulaire in Montreal.
