Catalog on the exhibition here

After overcoming several stimulating challenges over the past two years – including the reinterpretation of works from unfinished prints or matrices – the member artists of Atelier Circulaire have taken on a new challenge. This time, it’s about co-creating without any artistic constraints, except the one of creating together.

Presented as part of the Annual Members' Show, this group exhibition brings together the works of 21 duos of artists, freely formed based on their affinities, technical complementarity, or the diversity of their creative approaches.

Echo explores the resonance of artistic practices and the power of creative dialogue. Each duo offers a unique vision of co-creation, enriched by the language of printmaking. Whether it’s an exchange between experienced and emerging artists or a fusion of know-how, the works transcend individual practices.

Bringing together artists from different generations, cultures, and backgrounds, these collaborations reflect a true creative synergy. The co-creation process, sometimes demanding, pushed the artists to adjust and reinvent their respective visions throughout their work together, enriching the intercultural and artistic experience.

The themes explored are as varied as the techniques employed. Some artists revisit shared memories or celebrate a common history, while others dive into imaginary worlds or draw inspiration from human-influenced forces. Humor, childhood, and intergenerational dynamics are present in the works, offering a diversity of perspectives. This thematic richness is accompanied by a plurality of techniques, combining traditional processes (intaglio, lithography) with contemporary techniques (silkscreen, laser engraving, digital printing), for hybrid 2D and 3D creations, perfectly integrated into the exhibition space.

Each work reflects the collective effort of the artists, from four-handed creations to more subtle collaborations. These works are not limited to technical mastery, but reveal the depth of the exchanges and transform the creative process into a collective, shared and unique experience.
