Born in Colombia, Gloria Palacio is a Montréal-based artist who has been living and working in Canada since 2002. She is a printmaker and engraver with many years of professional activity and holds a Master's degree in Fine Arts from Panthéon-Sorbonne University I in Paris. She also attended painting workshops at the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-Arts.

Since 1983, Palacio has exhibited her work individually and collectively, both in Canada and abroad. She has participated in many international printmaking biennials and triennials. Her works are part of public and private collections in Canada, Japan, The United States, Ecuador, France and England; such as the Gabrielle Roy Library in Quebec, the Museum of Modern Art in Bogota, and the Fundacion Museo de las Artes del Grabadoto, in Coruna,Spain where she has exhibited. In 1989, she won the engraving prize at the Salon d'été exhibition of the Artistic Group of Haute-Auvergne Saint-Flour, France.

She is a member of Atelier Circulaire, artist center dedicated to excellence in the production dissemination of printed art, where she works on her production.
